http://www.tdf.org – They run the half-price ticket booths. They are also a non-profit with tickets to some Broadway, off-Broadway, and music shows. If you work for a non-profit you can join their club which allows to buy tickets in advance. You can usually get tickets to some Broadway shows for about $35-40 through them. The list is always changing, but here are the current Broadway shows to give you an idea: Bronx Bombers, Jersey Boys, A Night with Janis Joplin, Mamma Mia!, Rock of Ages, and Phantom of the Opera. If you live out of NYC, the yearly fee is about $12 and one member can buy up to 9 tickets per show.

http://www.playbill.com – They are a great site for learning about what shows are playing. They also have a free club with discount offers, usually about $75 per show.

Time Out which is a great weekly entertainment magazine to NYC. Their website is quite useful as well http://newyork.timeout.com/.
